The writers of the HV News Lies has recently learned that the insurance company that represents the town will NOT be providing legal representation in the legal suit brought by Stephen Costa for the reasoning that the suit claims that they engaged in criminal acts. Legal representation for criminal acts are exempt from the policy that the town holds and the town board members must retain their own legal counsel at their on expense.
The writers at the HV News Lies find this interesting because one of the town board members so happens to be an attorney and should have been aware of not only this, but the possiblity to be disbarred if found having engaged in extortion. This same individual made an off hand remark at a town board meeting that occured before he took office more or less he wasn't a very good criminal defense attorney, which the writers have the opinion holds true.
