Unfortunately due to a 'glitch' with their printer, the HV News wasn't available at all of their outlets yesterday.

I'm waging it's more like their printer knows about the Langan's financial problems and will no longer extend credit to them for their jobs and are now on a COD basis. As a result you may or may not be able to keep on this week's latest capers that are printed in the HV News.

The latest fiasco of the point the finger game was blaming Tom Martino for the polling location at Town Hall being opened an hour late as he writes on the HV News Facebook page:

Hyde Park town hall voting place opened one hour late this morning. Election official Eric Haight says, "That was the result of our contact person, Supervisor Tom Martino, being completely negligent of his duties." This guy never disappoints.

I would like to point out that the responsibility of opening a polling place isn't a duty of the supervisor, rather is it that of the election officals that conduct the elections. Town Hall opened an hour late due to the failure of an election official to pick up a key to the building the day before. So perhaps Mr. Haight should man up and take responsibilty for his failure to follow up with a representative with the BOE given he IS a Commissioner.

The blame Martino game is getting rather old. Don't you think? Suicide Bombers? Blame it on Martino. You can also blame the border violence from mexican drug cartels and the growing prison population on Martino as well. Hell, let's just blame everything on Martino.
*New catch phrase: 'Blame it on Martino.'

I think (my opinion)Jim Langan is jerkoff, he has done nothing good for the town. If you want to be a better person; pay your bills. If you want to go in public without people staring at you; stop writing your paper. If you want the people of Hyde Park to be happy; leave

Can Jim Langan, a known thief be given any credibility? As for Eric Haight, he is another jerkoff political hack. Eric consider Langan a friend, so much for Eric's credibility.

Holy SH**, can you believe the results of the election. The GOP got their asses handed to them. Nice job Jean and Yancy, you should be proud of yourselves. We all know that these idiots are going to blame Martino but everyone knows when you endorse a bum that can’t pay his bills, gets his car repo'd, fails the bar exam multiple times, claims that his career is wiping kids butts, has more judgments against himself than Langan, thinks he running for town Superintendent, has a windbreaker a week before the election that says he already won the election, and knows nothing about town government. What the fu** did you expect? By the way there are more registered Republicans in HP than Democrats. If you do the math, Kakish was indorsed By the GOP, Conservative and Independent parties. That means he should have got about %70 of the votes. I guess the people of HP have Spoken.

Well said Not4Yancy. The McArthurs did what only the Democrats only dreamed about doing: decimating the HP GOP. So that the GOP can start rebuilding, which may take quite a number of years, the McArthurs and Anne Boehm should resign and move out of state where nobody knows them, assume new identities, register as Democrats and do the same thing to their new party as to atone for what they did in Hyde Park. What next? Jim Langan as Republicam of the Year in 2012? Nice going McArthurs!

The MCArthurs, Anne Boehm, Jim Langan and of course the inane Joe Kakish cannot and will not accept the consequences of their actions. They all resort to the infantile tactic of blaming the other guy or just employ an outright denial though they may be confronted with hard evidence. Langan denied that he was a thief on TV even though the supporting documents were shown on the news. They are all delusional slobs. They made their beds, let them lie in them.

Thanks for this web site. I have found it to be quite informative about what is going on in Hyde Park politics. I do hope that your site played a role in the clobbering that the Republicans took last Tuesday. The McArthurs deserved everything that happened. I am truly at a loss as to where they dug up their candidates. I found Joe Kakish to be unpalatable. He is truly inept. I was also insulted by his arrogance, particularly with the issue of his now infamous windbreaker. He came to our door with it on. It turned us off to say the least.

Two years ago, Yancy boy couldn't get elected in a Republican landslide. That just about sums it up about what a great politician he thinks he is in mindlessness.

Yancy told a reporter from cablevision that he was not endorsing the present board. When asked how he can do that, he said when the McArthurs speak everybody listens. Well I guess no one was listening this time S*** for brains. P.S. I hear there is liquor store going next to K&D deli, I can’t wait to give them business because I will never give the McArthurs any business.

Mr. Langan is a stupid fool!

1. Mr. Langan went on TV in response to reports of his having been an embezzler to say that he won't dignify said report because no one is listening, so why bother to respond and draw even more attention to being an embezzler?

2. In the same TV response, Mr. Langan failed to substantiate being attacked as defined by the Penal Code of New York State. So much for professional journalism.

3. Mr. Langan could be subject to prosecution for filing a false police report, pending the findings of the Hyde Park Police Department. Filing a false police report is a misdemeanor.

4. Mr. Langan and the Hudson Valley News could
possibly be sued by the Martinos for a variety of
things up to and including slander, maybe?

5. Mr. Langan was barred for life as a licensed stockbroker over $18,000, the cost of a
reasonably stylish 2 door sedan. He could have made exponentially more (honestly or otherwise)
over the last 30 years.

6. Speculation: Rupert Murdoch and Donald Trump would fire Mr. Langan if he worked for
them.

7. Mr. Langan will never be taken seriously again in Hyde Park.

I had the opportunity to see the town board meeting of Nov. 10. Why did Serino defend Langan? It is now well known throughout the community that he is a thief and a deadbeat, just as Supervisor Martino stated on TV. If what Martino stated were fabrications, much like Langan' rag, Martino would be sued. However, since Martino stated the truth, Langan will not be filing a law suit. Langan is just a petty thief who has conned the community with the lies he advanced in his so-called newspaper.
