Two days before Election Day, Sue Serino is still attempting to claim to her expertise at being able to 'scrutinize a budget,' per an article that appeared in the Poughkeepsie Journal on November 6, 2011.

Serino, a licensed real estate broker, said she believed she could use her professional expertise to help county officials create a better climate for economic development, and she said she believed her tenure on the town board had enabled her to "understand how to scrutinize a budget."

1) She is so confident of her abilities of being 'budget savvy' that per the above minutes of November 19, 2010, she didn't have to attend the Budget Vote.

2) She was also absent at the November 15, 2010 that introduced the final budget to the public.

3) She was also absent at the December 17, 2010 meeting that made an amendment to the 2010 Budget.

4) Thanks to the televised town board meetings which the last two are posted on seperate blogs, Sue appears to be confused about exactly what was being voted on. Although she voted onOctober 3, 2011 in regards of the dates to present the preliminary & final budget, she was not aware that the preliminary budget was only a 'demonstration' at the October 24, 2011 meeting and needed further clarification from Mr. Horan, the town attorney.

5) Finally, to futher check on the town's finances, audits are performed from time to time. For whatever reason, Ms. Serino abstained from voting on the audit for the 2009 budget, most likely to sweep the dirt under the carpet so to speak.

If this is what she calls being qualified at the local level, how is she going to perform at the county level?
