The looming 2% tax cap is causing concern for local governments in such a degree that more than 200 gathered at SUNY New Paltz to discuss ways to meet the budget without cutting services and employment.

Was Aileen and Joe in attendence? This tax cap is not be taken lightly.  This law will greatly affect municipalities, not just in the hidden costs of the administrating a town, but potentially in services that residents use every day, such as road repairs, plowing, and even income if a family member is employed in the town.

And this is a law that Joe Kakish hoped would continue while he is supervisor.
